Polite Emotes are not passed on automatically to players. Instead, players must earn them by completing the East Luterra continent side quest With Grace and Elegance. Begin the quest by going to Luterra Palace in Luterra Castle and accepting Anessa's side quest. Anessa is an expert in court etiquette and will teach the player the Polite Emote. To learn it, enter your Inventory by pressing I and right-click the book named Emote: Polite. Once you have learned it, enter /polite into the chat to perform it.
