Destiny 2: The Witch Queen patch notes – TLDR Update 4.0.0.1

The Witch Queen expansion has finally arrived in Destiny 2, alongside Season of the Risen and a huge pile of other changes. As with every big content update, Bungie sees it as an opportunity to add many tweaks to the game, and it can be hard to keep track of things. On top of all the new content to enjoy, Bungie has added some pretty heavy changes to existing systems and game modes. Many of them won't come as a surprise as Bungie has discussed them before, however, there are a few new updates. However, some of the more notable changes are listed below.

• Exotic primary weapons - Exotic primary weapons have gotten a buff across the board to feel stronger in PvE. They have received a damage buff of 40% against minor red-bar enemies.
• Gambit rework - The Gambit game mode is getting a huge rework. The core gameplay remains intact, but many aspects such as invading, Primeval fights, and ammo distribution have all been altered to better fit Bungie's vision for Gambit.

• Armor and Mods - There is a whole suite of Armor and Mod changes laid out in the Patch Notes. However, the biggest surprises are that the Protective Light damage reduction was reduced to 10 percent, and Well of Tenacity's damage reduction increased to 50 percent.

It seems that pretty much every single game mechanic has been slightly altered or improved somehow.
