Pokémon Go: An Akala Adventure – All Quest Steps & Rewards

Pokémon Go players have new Special Research tasks to complete. The Special Research comes as a part of the Season of Alola celebration and focuses on Pokémon found in the Alola Region, and specifically Akala Island. There are four quests in total, with each providing players with rewards upon completion.
All Quests and Rewards
Quest 1/4:
- Catch 10 Pokémon - 10 Poké Balls
- Complete three Field Research Tasks - Pikachu encounter
- Catch seven different species of Pokémon - Five Pinap Berries
Reward: A Fomantis encounter, 500 Stardust, and 500 XP
Quest 2/4:
- Catch four Pokémon with the help of Berries - Parasect encounter
- Catch two Water-type Pokémon - Alomomola encounter
- Take a snapshot of Fire-type Pokémon in the wild three times - Alolan Marowak encounter
Reward: A Charged TM, 500 XP, and 500 Stardust
Quest 3/4:
- Power up Pokémon five times - Seven Razz Berries
- Walk 2KM - 10 Poké Balls
- Take a snapshot of wild Pokémon three times - 10 Pinap Berries
Reward: A Premium Battle Pass, 1,000 Stardust, and 1,000 XP
Quest 4/4:
- Send a gift to five friends - 10 Great Balls
- Catch 15 Pokémon - Seven Pinap Berries
- Win a Raid battle - Alolan Diglett encounter
Reward: 15 Ultra Balls, 1,000 Stardust, and 8,000 XP

How to catch Formantis in Pokémon Go
Fomantis is the newly debuted Pokémon highlighted in An Akala Adventure Special Research. Players won't have to wait long to catch this Pokémon since an encounter with the Pokémon is a reward for completing the first step in the quest. Once encountered, players will simply catch Fomantis the same way they would catch any Pokémon in a random encounter. Throw balls at the Pokémon and hope for a successful catch.
