What is Ultima Thule in Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker?

If you’ve advanced far enough in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, you might have caught mention of Ultima Thule. With a name oddly familiar to fans of Final Fantasy XIV (Ultima Weapon was the end boss of A Realm Reborn), you might be wondering, just what is Ultima Thule?

Ultima Thule is the final zone in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker. A vast array of ruined planets and stars, Ultima Thule is situated at the edge of the Sea of Stars.

Made up of ruined civilizations discovered by Meteion during her journey across the stars, Ultima Thule is the final resting place for the Dragons who once made up Midgardsormr’s race, the mysterious Er, and the mechanical combat creatures related to Omega. 

Once you arrive in Ultima Thule, you’ll find that only advancing through the Main Story Quest will allow you to journey between it's intergalactic islands.

Ultima Thule is the setting and stage for the final battle between your Warrior of Light and the endgame boss of Endwalker. This cosmic duel is the last clash in Final Fantasy XIV’s latest expansion.
